Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Everything in Threat Desk works without one. Signing in with Apple or Google only adds one thing: your saved stories and settings follow you to other phones.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile and tap Delete account, then confirm. Your account and everything stored with it (saved stories, followed topics, name, role, home state and digest choice) are deleted straight away. If you can't open the app, email us from the address you signed in with and we'll delete it for you.
How do I sign out?
Open Profile and tap Sign out. Your saves stay in your account; this phone's copy is removed.
Where does the news come from?
From public security news sources and official vulnerability lists, such as CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog and the US National Vulnerability Database. Every story names its source and links to the original article.
Who writes the summaries?
Summaries are written by an AI model from the original article, then checked automatically for format and safety. They can still be wrong or miss nuance, so always check the original source before acting on it. If you spot a mistake, email us the headline.
An event date or link looks wrong
Events can move or change. Always confirm dates and registration with the organiser's own site, which the app shows before opening any link. Please email us the event name and we'll fix the listing.
Sign in with Google is slow or stuck
Make sure you're on the latest version of the app and have a connection. If Google's sign-in page is slow, tap Continue without account and sign in later from Profile.
