Terms of Use

Effective 14 October 2026 · Threat Desk is operated by Biniam Gebrehiwot ("we").

The short version. Threat Desk is free to use. Summaries are written by AI and can be wrong, so check the original source before acting on anything. Articles belong to their publishers, and events to their organisers. Don't misuse the service.

Using Threat Desk

By using the Threat Desk app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 13 years old.

Information, not advice

Threat Desk collects security news and vulnerability data from public sources and summarises it. Summaries, severity tags and suggested actions are produced partly by AI. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They are for information only, and are not professional security, legal or other advice. Always check the original source and your own environment before acting. You're responsible for the decisions you make.

Other people's content

Articles, headlines and images belong to their publishers, and event details belong to their organisers. We show short summaries with the source named, and link to the original. Event dates, venues and registration can change, so confirm them with the organiser before you travel or pay. If you own content shown in Threat Desk and want it changed or removed, email support@threatdesk.app.

Your account

Accounts are optional and use Sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure. You can delete your Threat Desk account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service.

Acceptable use

Don't:

Authorised security research is welcome: please report vulnerabilities to support@threatdesk.app rather than testing them against other users.

Availability

We work to keep Threat Desk running and accurate, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change or stop features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from relying on the content in Threat Desk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

App stores

If you downloaded Threat Desk from the Apple App Store, Apple's terms also apply. Apple isn't responsible for the app or for supporting it.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States.
